Frozen Friday: Ben & Jerry's - Chocolate Fudge Brownie Ice Cream

Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream is a fairly simple concoction of chocolate ice cream and fudge brownies.

A pint cost me $2.50 at Fresh and Easy during a sale.

For those of you who like to feel a little good about yourself while guiltily scarfing down some ice cream, you'll be happy to know that the cocoa and sugar used in Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie is Fair Trade Certified.
The chocolate ice cream is fairly standard for the super premium category: rich, creamy and pretty dense. But the brownies? Wow...

Imagine a moist, chocolaty fudge brownie straight out of the oven, but cold(!) and you'll have the huge pieces of fudge brownies found inside a pint of Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie. I don't know if it was the heat maybe softening the brownies, but these were magical (and not in the Amsterdam sense)! They were just as soft as the ice cream and super chocolaty. If you've tried this flavor before, please let me know if you've had the same experience, or if I just happened upon the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...

I'm used to chocolate brownies in ice cream usually being dense and at least semi-hard and this was like the complete opposite.

As it stands, Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie features veritable spoonfuls of awesome. I do not know what sorcery they worked to stuff soft, fudgy brownies into chocolate ice cream like they had just mixed it then and there, but they nailed it.
