The (slightly) early offer comes as the Pumpkin Spice Latte enters its tenth year.
Also available on September 3 are the seasonal Salted Caramel Mocha, Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino, and the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate.
Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte is made with espresso, pumpkin-flavored syrup, and steamed milk topped with whipped cream and pumpkin spice spices.
The Salted Caramel Mocha features a blend of espresso, steamed milk, mocha sauce, and toffee nut syrup, topped with whipped cream, caramel sauce, turbinado sugar, and sea salt. The hot chocolate version is the same but sans the coffee.
I'm not a fan of the whole "secret code" thing as it tends to induce a bit of consumer confusion although with Starbucks' emphasis on customer service, I'm sure they'll let you order it even if you don't quite get the code right, or even if you just ask for a Pumpkin Spice Latte.
