Unlike the original Waffle Taco, the two new versions were/are offered as all-day options.
The Chicken & Waffle Taco featured a breaded chicken patty folded inside of a waffle taco shell (i.e. a folded waffle). It's served with a choice of either country gravy or syrup. The test price wast 99 cents, but I imagine a finalized price would fall between $1 and $2.
The Very Berry Waffle Taco is a waffle taco shell filled with whipped cream and fresh blueberries and strawberries. The test price is 79 cents per taco.
While the Waffle Taco incorporates standard breakfast staples, the Chicken & Waffle Taco embraces a recent trend of chicken and waffle items (see here, here, and here) and, along with the Very Berry Waffle Taco, offers a combination not currently offered by major competitors.
I would not trust chicken made at Taco Bell. What looks like white gravy, especially not. Nasty nasty nasty.

I've had many Grillers at TB and I think their chicken is very tasty. And very good for their prices. I can't wait for these Waffle Tacos to come out.
ReplyDeleteugh... good god, why?
ReplyDeleteUgh. There seems to be nothing that's too disgusting for the American palate.
ReplyDeleteI for one would be all about a chicken 'n waffle taco.
ReplyDeleteHave you even seen some of the items offered at fast food places in Japan? That stuff looks 10x worse; it's not just Americans.
ReplyDeletePerhaps Japan has its own dietary Bible Belt.
