At my local Burger King, the Fry Burger replaced the BK Bacon Burger and carries the same $1 price tag.
Is it me or has Burger King's value burger patty gotten smaller? I remember they used to be a good deal bigger than McDonald's Hamburger and now they seem close to the same size. With the small patty size, I didn't get much in the way of flame-grilled char or beef flavor.
What I did get was the familiar ketchup and mayo combination of a Whopper minus the tomatoes and onions, which I didn't miss too much since they would have made the beef patty seem that much smaller.
The French fries didn't add all too much. Just a vague extra starchiness to the burger. I thought I'd pick up on the salt of the fries, but I didn't. I would guess if I had dined in instead of getting it to-go, the Fries might have been crunchy, but I didn't and they weren't.
Overall, the French fries weren't so much showcased in Burger King's French Fry Burger so much as the rather standard condiments were. Still, it was decent enough and close enough to the Whopper Jr. for a few coins less (like a poor man's Whopper Jr.).
