Review: McDonald's - Pralines & Cream McFlurry

McDonald's new, limited-time Pralines & Cream McFlurry features hot caramel topping and praline (candied) pecan pieces blended with McDonald's vanilla soft serve.

I bought a snack-sized cup for $1.89.

As you can tell by the pictures, hot caramel equals melted soft serve in short order (I live about 10 minutes away from the nearest McDonald's). I would have preferred cold caramel and un-melted, thick soft serve.

It still tasted good though. The caramel imparts a nice flavor and was fairly thick in contrast to the very melted soft serve.

I've had caramel in my McFlurry before, so it was really the candied pecans that interested me. There was a good amount of them in my cup and each had a crispy, candied shell that was pretty tasty and protected the nutty crunch of the chopped pecans.

Overall, the caramel, candied pecans, and creamy soft serve of McDonald's Pralines & Cream McFlurry make for a potent and delicious semi-frozen combo that would be a little nicer if it were less semi and more frozen.

  1. I always get the Pumpkin Bagel and Schmear. They are very good, and the Autumn Roast Coffee is my favorite blend they have. I miss the Pumpkin Poppers though. Those were the shit.

  2. I have had the pumpkin bagel, and if you are looking for a strong pumpkin taste; this is not so. I quite like it (it has a light pumpkin spice taste and scent), but would like it more if i had a stronger pumpkin spice taste.
