Review: Carl's Jr. - Buffalo Blue Cheese CrissCut Fries

Carl's Jr.'s Buffalo Blue Cheese CrissCut Fries feature an order of their seasoned, criss-cut French fries topped with blue cheese crumbles, Frank's RedHot Buffalo Wings sauce, and ranch dressing.

An order came out to $3.59 but I receive this courtesy of Carl's Jr.

My order was missing the ranch dressing but I didn't mind because seasoned fries plus blue cheese plus buffalo sauce equals salt plus salt plus salt.

Like the burger, if you like blue cheese, there's plenty of it here as well as some nice tangy heat from the buffalo sauce. The ranch would have helped take the edge off of the buffalo sauce but seems a bit overkill since the blue cheese is already there for that.

The fries were only a little bit crispy, but had a enjoyable light, seasoned flavor.

Overall, I like the way the flavors work together in Carl's Jr. Buffalo Blue CrissCut Fries (barring my general dislike of blue cheese) but think it would have worked better with thick steak fries to better cushion against the three inherently salty components. As it stands, it's almost like eating flavored salt.
