News: Burger King - Big King is Back for Good

Burger King has resurrected the Big King, their answer to the Big Mac, as a permanent menu addition.

The Big King was previously available back in 1997 in select markets in the US but is actually offered currently in several markets abroad. The new version is much the same but adds a middle bun (like the previous iteration, the international version also lacks a middle bun).

The rest is the same: two fire-grilled beef patties, American cheese, fresh onions (compared to the Big Mac's minced dehydrated ones), pickles, lettuce, and a "thousand island-style" sauce on a sesame seed bun.

The suggested retail price of the Big King is $3.69.

Even after the BK King was discontinued in the US, Burger King offers Big Mac-like flavor back in 2011 with the BK Deluxe Topper, which featured similar ingredients, but in a smaller package.

The other fast food burger chain that offers an obvious Big Mac also includes the word "big" in it's name; it's the Big Carl at Carl's Jr. (which is, oddly enough, not offered at sister chain Hardee's).
