Frozen Friday: Banquet - Pepperoni Pizza Meal

Banquet's Pepperoni Pizza Meal consists of a reduced-fat pepperoni pizza and chocolate pudding.

A 5.75-ounce box was $1.

The pizza was not good. It barely passed for pizza. The dough was a little gummy (I even tried finishing it in a toaster oven) and the cheese really did not want to melt.

The little pepperoni cubes were a slightly-off pink color rather than the expected red and carried an artificial smoke taste.

There was very little in the way of sauce.

The result was like eating a piece of moist but stale bread lightly sprinkled with slightly weird imitations of pizza toppings.

The pudding didn't look so great but had a really nice chocolate flavor and was easily the best part of the meal.

While this was only a buck, there are plenty of other frozen foods I'd rather get over Banquet's Pepperoni Pizza Meal. Say a bean and cheese burrito or a Totino's Pizza for an extra 50 cent or so.
