Review: The Habit - Cheeseburger

The Habit is a fast food burger chain that started out in Santa Barbara, CA. Their Cheeseburger (or Charburger with Cheese) features a chargrilled beef patty, mayo, pickle, tomato, lettuce, and caramelized onions.

A Charburger goes for $2.95 and cheese costs an extra 50 cents for a grand total of $3.45.

The draw of the Habit has to be their quality control and made-to-order burgers. Basically, it's a lot like a mom-and-pop burger joint except it's a chain.

The produce was of pretty good quality and freshness, they went with just a light spread of mayo, and the bun sported a crunchy bit of toasting a la In-N-Out (or your local mom and pop).

The onions add a nice sweetness and came in an even layer.

The patty was a decent size and sported a nice charred crust from the grill and retains a nice bit of juiciness.

I could have used a just a little more cheese but the lone slice that was there was melted through and through.

Overall, The Habit's Cheeseburger is a fairly standard but well-proportioned rendition of a cheeseburger. What makes it stand apart is its quality and execution.
