Krispy Kreme recently introduced a
Creme Brulee Donut out in Indonesia featuring a caramelized sugar crust atop a fillled/shell yeast donut.
For the egg custard portion of the dessert, they've filled the donut with custard Kreme.
It sounds like a hybrid dessert set to conquer a certain country in North America currently enamored with hybrid desserts (actually, there are a few
gourmet donut shops that make these here in the States.)
Interestingly, Indonesia is not the first country where Krispy Kreme has offered the Creme Brulee Donut. It made its debut last year in the Philippines with a slightly different name as the "Kreme Brulee" Donut.
