Review: Pepperidge Farm - French Toast Goldfish Grahams

Pepperidge Farm's French Toast Goldfish Grahams are a French Toast-flavored graham cracker version of the smiling fish-shaped snacks.

I bought a 6.6-oz package for $1.50 on sale.

These smell like like cinnamon and toasted Eggo waffles (i.e. toasted frozen waffles) to me. It's not a bad aroma, just not one I quite associate with French toast. French toast, at least when I make it, smells more like eggs and butter.

The Goldfish crackers have the familiar crunch of graham crackers.

Maybe they should have called these Cinnamon Roll Goldfish Grahams (I'd say Cinnamon Toast but there's not any buttery flavor) as cinnamon was the strongest flavor accompanied by a syrupy, caramelized sweetness with a honeyed graham cracker base.

Overall, French Toast Goldfish Grahams don't quite hit the right notes for the "French Toast" designation, but they make for some nice, crunchy snacking.
