The test will feature three different smoothie handcrafted (i.e. made-to-order) flavors as well as the options to customize by adding fresh kale or extra Greek yogurt.
The three flavors are:
- Sweet Greens - a fruit and vegetable-based smoothie with hints of mango and banana.
- Strawberry - a fruit smoothie with hints of apple and banana.
- Mango Carrot - a fruit and vegetable smoothie with a hint of pineapple.
The test runs through September and the company expects to offer a full line of Evolution Fresh Inspired by Dannon products starting next year.
Evolution Fresh is Starbucks' brand best known for cold-pressed fruit and vegetable juices.
Starbucks' current line of smoothies is made with milk, whey protein, and fiber powder rather than yogurt. It also features three flavors: Chocolate, Strawberry, and Orange Mango.
