Review: Keebler - Cashew Sandies

Keebler's Cashew Sandies are shortbread cookies with cashews in them.

A 12.8-oz package was $2.50.

These are basically the lesser known, younger brother of Keebler's Pecan Sandies. There's a different but still enjoyable nutty flavor to the cookies.

I find that cashews tend to get muted when baked into cookies or mixed into chocolate and its the same here. I like them best plain with just a bit of salt.

The shortbread has a decent buttery flavor to it and a lightly crunchy, crumbly texture. It's pretty much like a sugar cookie with a touch of butter and nuts.

Overall, Keebler's Cashew Sandies are a nice, cheaper option than actual shortbread cookies, which are made with butter. They're not as good as the real thing but add an extra dimension of flavor with the cashews and are enjoyable to eat.
