I bought one for $4.69 and requested all three barbecue sauces on the side.
There was a good amount of pulled pork and, while it wasn't juicy or particularly tender, it was relatively moist and not overcooked till mushy. On its own, there's a heavily seasoned flavor as well as a good amount of smokiness.
The sauces each had the standard blend of smoky, sweet, and tangy, but the spicy packs a good amount of heat, while the smoky sauce ups the smoky quotient. The sweet was my least favorite of the three, as it veered way too far into sweet territory; you could almost use the sauce to dress a dessert (barbecue cheesecake anyone?). I would recommend going with smoky or spicy (or you could just try all three like I did).
The broccoli slaw was mostly crunchy texture and mayo creaminess. It's made with broccoli, carrots, and red cabbage. There's not too much flavor to be had and the broccoli had too much of a fibrous quality that was a little like chewing on a twig. It provided a nice buffer against the stronger flavors of the pork and BBQ sauce but I would have preferred the more traditional cabbage slaw.
The bun was nicely toasted and provided a nice dense, soft crumb.
Overall, Wendy's BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich was pretty good and a step above the crock-pot style "barbecue" pork of some other fast food chains. I might just go without the slaw next time though.
