These are more chocolate than chips. Specifically, they're like dark chocolate with a hint of fried potato flavor. The underlying chip also gives a light crunch to each piece.

The dark chocolate has a nice flavor to it; there's some creaminess and more of a bittersweet quality over the milk chocolate.

Besides the dark chocolate, Dark Chocolate Dipped Wavy Lay's differ from the milk chocolate version with the addition of a sprinkle of sea salt. It provides a little more complexity and serves to enhance the dark chocolate.

Overall, Dark Chocolate Dipped Wavy Lay's Chips are quite excellent especially if you prefer dark chocolate over milk chocolate.
