This dish is a lot like beef stew except with less liquid and zero carrots. The most abundant ingredient is the diced potatoes, which go nicely with the strips of beef.
The beef is somewhat firm and sports a few grill marks here and there. The grills marks don't impart any extra flavor though.
The peppers and onions aren't overcooked nor mushy and impart a nice flavor.
The beef sauce is a mild brown gravy that's plain but serves to pull everything together. There's a good, decently thick consistency to it. There was also a little bit of cheese but it just melted into the sauce (never to be heard from again).
Overall, Jimmy Dean's Grilled Steak is a good but not great bowl of mostly meat and potatoes. If there aren't any real highlights, there aren't any big faults either. It's pretty much solid all around.
