Pork Carnitas Back at El Pollo Loco in New Sopes

Pork carnitas makes its way back to the El Pollo Loco menu in a number of dishes including wet burritos, tostada salad, tortas, soft tacos, and new sopes.

Pork carnitas is something El Pollo Loco brings back now and again, but typically introducing at least one new menu item each time.

Here's the complete limited-time pork carnitas menu:

- The Pork Carnitas Wet Burrito features pork carnitas, rice, refried beans, jack cheese, cabbage, and pico de gallo wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla covered in enchilada sauce and cotija cheese.

- Pork Carnitas Sopes consists of pork carnitas, refried beans, cabbage, poblano salsa, poblano cream, pico de gallo and cotija cheese on corn sopes.

- The Pork Carnitas Salad takes a lettuce blend and puts it in a fried tostada shell before topping it off with pork carnitas, sliced avocado, rice, pinto beans, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Creamy cilantro dressing comes on the side.

- The Pork Carnitas Torta puts pork carnitas, sliced avocado, refried beans, coleslaw, pickled red onions, and poblano cream inside of a Telera roll.

- Finally, the Pork Carnitas Soft Taco features pork carnitas, cabbage, poblano cream, pico de gallo, pickled red onions, and cotija cheese in a soft artisan tortilla.

In addition to the menu, El Pollo Loco is also offering Chocolate Churros and Chicken Corn Chowder for a limited time.
