Church’s Chicken Oreo Biscuit Bites feature bits of Oreo cookies baked into bite-sized versions of the chain’s signature honey butter biscuits and covered with icing.
I purchased a 5-pack for
99¢.
Usually I’m not a stickler for food to look like it does in the advertisement, because I understand that it’s impossible, but my Oreo Biscuit Bites did not even fulfill the promise of being covered in icing. Instead, it seems that they may have been tossed in it for a second, leaving me with an awfully uneven glaze.
The combination of the regular biscuit and Oreo works. The glazed bites were the best ones, as the gooey creamy icing does a good job adding moisture to an otherwise dry biscuit. I suppose a home remedy might be to dip them in milk, like you would with Oreo cookies. But I didn’t try that this time and since milk isn’t on Church’s menu, I shouldn’t have to.
Overall, Church’s Oreo Biscuit Bites are an interesting experiment. While I don’t believe I would order these again, five for a dollar is a pretty good value considering their size. I recommend giving them a try in hopes that your store is more liberal on the icing than mine.
