2015 Lenten Fish and Seafood Fastfood Round Up

It's Lenten season again. Here's 2015's list of the mostly fish and some seafood items you'll find at some of the biggest fast food chains for Lent:

Arby's - Classic Fish Sandwich returns plus new King's Hawaiian Fish Deluxe (details).

Boston Market - Wild Caught Pacific Baked Cod is back and available every Friday for $8.49. The fish is topped with Parmesan garlic crumbs and served with lemon garlic sauce. The dish includes two sides and a piece of freshly-baked cornbread.

Burger King - regular menu Big Fish Sandwich available plus new limited-time Spicy Big Fish Sandwich. Both are part of their two for $5 mix & match deal (details).

Carl's Jr. / Hardee's - No Charbroiled Fish this year. Instead there's new, limited-time Red Hook Beer Battered Cod Fish (details).

Chick-fil-A - Cod Sandwich offered at select locations (it's an optional menu item that the individual franchisees can elect to serve). The sandwich is available individually for around $3 and in a combo for around $6. You can also get just the fish as part of a plate meal for around $7.

Church's Chicken - New Butterfly Shrimp with fries & a biscuit starting at $3.99 or you can get two Crispy Fish Fillets with fries & a biscuit starting at $3.49 (details).

Whataburger's Whatacatch

Del Taco - Crispy Shrimp is back plus new Crispy Shrimp Epic Burrito and Guacamole Crispy Shrimp Taco (details).

El Pollo Loco - New, limited-time Baja Shrimp menu which includes Avocado Shrimp Salad, Shrimp & Chicken Avocado Bowl, Shrimp Verde Enchiladas, and Shrimp Mango Taco.

Jack in the Box - Fish Sandwich is back plus new Sriracha Fish Sandwich (i.e regular Fish Sandwich plus Sriracha sauce).

McDonald's - Filet-O-Fish Fridays are back - price and participation varies.

Panda Express - They have Honey Walnut Shrimp on the regular menu.

Popeyes - Seafood Mardi Gras selection includes Cajun Fish, Popcorn Shrimp, and Butterfly Shrimp (details)

White Castle's Shrimp Nibblers

Quiznos - They've brought back the Lobster & Seafood Salad (also available as a sub) and Lobster Mac & Cheese, plus the new Lobster & Seafood Salad Ciabatta.

Steak 'n Shake - They're again serving a limited-time Fish Sandwich & Fries as well as a Fish Plate.

Subway - They have tuna on the regular menu.

Togo's - Lemon Pepper Tuna Sandwich returns (they also normally offer tuna).

Wendy's - Their seasonal fish sandwich has been updated with a new dill tartar sauce plus the addition of pickles (details)

Whataburger - They have the Whatacatch sandwich and Whatacatch dinner. The sandwich features a breaded, sliced white fish fillet, lettuce, and Whataburger’s original tartar sauce on a toasted bun. The Whatacatch dinner includes two white fish fillets, French fries, and Whataburger’s tartar sauce.

White Castle - Shrimp Nibblers (butterfly shrimp coated in a buttermilk-flavored batter and deep-fried) are back. They also have a recently introduced Veggie Slider plus Fish Sliders, Fish Nibblers, and Clam Strips.

Wienerschnitzel - Limited-time Fish and Chips.
