A 10-oz box was $2 on sale.
Interestingly, there wasn't a huge amount of cheese here (although a bit of it did escape during heating) but it had a mild, creamy flavor and clung well to the pasta.
I didn't note this before but the bowls for Chili's frozen meals have a simulated wood grain texture on the outer surface that adds a nice feel when you're holding it, although I've never encountered any wooden bowl with a similar texture in all my days of eating.
The bacon was the foremost flavor in the dish and it was decently porky with a bit of smoke flavor. The pieces were thick enough to deliver a small amount of meaty chew but no crunch.
The diced poblanos were mostly mild but with an occasional pop of heat in a blink-and-you-might-miss-it kind of way.
I have to mention that in the visual department, this is one of the few frozen meals that actually look like the picture on the box; it might even look better than the box.
Overall, Chili's Mac 'N' Cheese was just okay for me. Cheese is typically the main character in mac and cheese and it was bit weird that it was more of a supporting actor here.
