KFC Adds New Chicken & Rice Bowls

KFC adds new Chicken & Rice Bowls to the menu for a limited time. Available in two varieties, the bowls features the chain's chicken on a bed of white rice.

The two varieties are Sweet n' Spicy BBQ and Zesty Tex-Mex.

The Sweet n' Spicy BBQ Bowl includes pulled honey barbecue chicken, a three-cheese blend, chopped green onions, and sweet and spicy ranch sauce on a bed of white rice.

The Zesty Tex-Mex Bowl consists of Popcorn chicken, pico de gallo, a three-cheese blend, chopped green onions, and spicy ranch sauce on a bed of white rice.

The bowls are each available as part of a $5 Fill Up combo that also includes a chocolate chip cookie and medium fountain drink.

According to USA Today, the bowls are available through May 24, 2015.

While the rice bowl is new to KFC here in the US, it's something they've offered in a number of countries abroad (mostly in Asia where rice is more of a staple).
