Dairy Queen's Salted Caramel Truffle Blizzard features salty caramel truffles, toffee, cocoa fudge, and choco chunks blended into vanilla soft serve.
I bought a min-sized cup for
$3.69.
The soft serve sported a thick, even consistency that was enough to stand a spoon in. Mixed with cocoa fudge, the taste reminded me very much of a chocolate Wendy's Frosty.
Between the truffles, toffee, and choco chunks, there's a lot of bits and pieces to keep it interesting. The toffee was my favorite of the three with a nice, buttery flavor and sticky crunch. There was a lot of toffee in my cup; it seemed like the most abundant inclusion.
The salty caramel truffles were mini chocolate candies filled with liquid-y salted caramel. The choco chunks came in thin, delicate flakes.
Overall, Dairy Queen's Salted Caramel Truffle Blizzard was pretty good. The various candy ingredients combine to provide a lot of tasty, mostly chocolaty variety. There's not all that much salty caramel involved given the name, though.
