Review: Chick-fil-A - Grilled Chicken Sandwich

Chick-fil-A's Grilled Chicken Sandwich features a marinated, grilled boneless breast of chicken, served on a toasted multigrain bun with green leaf lettuce and tomato.

I went and bought one for $4.85.

It's available with ranch or BBQ sauce, but I went without sauce to get the full flavor of the new grilled chicken.

The chicken was super juicy and perfectly grilled. I'd be proud if I managed the same at home. The lemon flavor is light, but the herb seasonings are a little too heavy and almost bitter at points. It definitely has a backyard barbecue taste but the overbearing herbiness is a little off-putting.

The multigrain bun offered the same texture as a regular bun, with a spongy softness that I found really nice. It didn't take anything off the table quality-wise unlike some other multigrain or whole-grain buns.

The lettuce and tomato were fresh and about as good as it gets with produce. There was only one leaf of lettuce though, so it wasn't doing much here. Another leaf or two would have been nice.

Overall, Chick-fil-A's Grilled Chicken Sandwich was pretty much a marvel in terms of fast food execution and quality, especially how the chicken was cooked. I'm not a fan of the herb portion of the seasoning they went with though.
