Popeyes' Lemonade Icebox Pie features a lemonade pie filling on a graham cracker crust finished with whipped cream rosettes.
I bought one for
$1.49.
My pie filling was half-frozen. It might vary from location to location, but it seems like you can travel a good distance with one of these while it thaws. They're made by Schwan's, which is the same company that makes Edwards pies.
Flavorwise, the filling was similar to key lime pie; it had the same tart and creamy flavors but with a lemony note rather than a limy one (which makes sense as they're very similar pies). It's also very sweet to the point of being almost jarring, but that's pretty normal for these types of pies.
The graham crust was hard and crumbly with a lightly honeyed sweetness. The whipped cream/topping offered an extra creaminess and was a much lighter sweetness than the filling.
Overall, Popeyes' Lemonade Icebox Pie was quite good with plenty of lemon flavor. Be warned that the main ingredient is condensed milk, which makes for a very sweet pie.
