Steakhouse Onion Funyuns feature fried onion-flavored rings with a dusting of seasoning meant to invoke the taste of a steakhouse onion blossom.
A 2 and 3/8-oz bag cost me
$1.49.
The underlying somewhat puffy, crispy rings include the same onion-y quality of regular Funyuns but the seasoning gives it a little something extra.
Specifically, there's a more heavily seasoned flavor with a bit of a tang and just a very slight bit of heat. I'm unclear on where the tang finds itself in a steakhouse onion blossom. Maybe the dipping sauce?
Overall, Steakhouse Onion Funyuns were pretty good. If you like/love Funyuns, they're not a marked departure from the originals but still offer a different look.
