New Subway Ranchero Pulled Pork Melt in Some Areas

Subway is offering the new, limited-time Ranchero Pulled Pork Melt in at least a few markets here in the U.S.

The sandwich features pulled pork made with Ranchero seasoning, Chipotle Southwest Sauce, Monterey and cheddar cheese blend, jalapenos, and red onion on a choice of bread. They described the seasoning as a "bold blend of Mexican spices."

I spotted the sandwich on a recent trip to Boston and a fellow BrandEater found it out in Abilene, TX. The price on the sandwich in Boston is $4.75 for a 6-inch and $7.75 for a Footlong.

Rather than bring out new sandwiches on a national basis, Subway appears to be going with a more regional focus these days (like how they have the new Italian Hero here in California), although there's always a chance one of them is popular enough to go nationwide.
