McDonald's South Korea's New Sandwich Features Spicy Chicken and Ricotta Cheese

In the lead up to this summer's Olympic games in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, McDonald's is celebrating with a taste of Italy in South Korea with the new Ricotta Cheese Shanghai Burger.

As the name suggests, the sandwich comes with a sizable portion of ricotta cheese. Also along for the ride are a crispy Shanghai chicken filet, lettuce, tomato, and onion on a corn meal-dusted bun.

"Shanghai" is their designation for their spicy chicken filet and draws its name from the McSpicy Shanghai Burger, which is a spicy crispy chicken sandwich exclusive to South Korea (the regular McSpicy is available in several countries however but not here in the U.S.).

I'm not sure why they didn't go with something more South American considering the geographical location of Rio, but I suppose that might come later.
