Lean Cuisine's Sweet Sriracha Braised Beef features braised beef with snap peas, broccoli florets, and red bell peppers in a sweet and spicy Sriracha sauce.
I bought a 7.5-oz box for
$2 on sale.
Most of the beef was just a little bit tender although one piece was fairly tough and chewy. Bereft of sauce, there wasn't much going on with it, as if they braised it in water and nothing else.
The vegetables were sub-par as far as frozen ones go. They were a bit overdone and almost mushy. The snap peas managed to hold on to just the very occasional bit of snap.
Most of the dish's flavor comes the sauce which offered up a honey sweetness, a slight tang, some notes of garlic, and a surprisingly mild kick.
Overall, I found Lean Cuisine's Sweet Sriracha Braised Beef to be just okay. The quality of the beef and veggies were below standard and the Sriracha sauce didn't do enough to distinguish itself from other sweet and tangy sauces.
