Starbucks Offers $8 Meal Combo

Starbucks goes for a (relative) value angle with the limited-time $8 Power Lunch deal. The lunch combo includes 4 items at a discount, but interestingly no coffee is involved.

For $8, you get:

- A choice of a sandwich, salad, or bistro box
- A choice of popcorn, pretzels, or chips that cost $1.75 or less
- A choice of a banana or a That's It fruit bar
- A bottle of Ethos water

In case you're wondering, the average cost of a sandwich, salad, or bistro box is a little north of $6; a banana is about $1, while a fruit bar is $1.95; and a bottle of Ethos water sells for $2. It comes out to about $3 or $4 in savings.

The deal is available at participating Starbucks stores through May 30, 2016 (they've extended the promo through June 26, 2016), while supplies last.
