While
Burger King expands the Whopper into other forms here at home (such as
a hot dog as well as
a burrito), they're trying it with different meats around the world, where they've introduced both the
new Whole Shrimp Whopper and
Pork Whopper.
As the name states, the Whole Shrimp Whopper takes your standard Whopper setup (beef, lettuce, mayo, onion, and tomatoes) minus the ketchup and adds a layer of whole shrimp over the beef patty along with a spicy tomato sauce. It was recently introduced in South Korea. In case, you're looking for more of a slightly fancier surf-and-turf combo, they're also offering a steak version that comes with a steak patty.
The Pork Whopper recently popped up in Thailand, where you can now order any Whopper with either a flame-grilled ground pork or beef patty.
Moreover, the chain added more localized fare with new Flame Grilled Pork and Sticky Rice, which features three small flame-grilled pork patties, a scoop of sticky rice, and what looks to be a spicy peanut sauce for dipping.
Now all they need is a Fish Whopper...
