Review: Panda Express - Cream Cheese Rangoons

Panda Express' Cream Cheese Rangoons are deep-fried, folded wonton wrappers filled with cream cheese and served with sweet and sour sauce.

It costs $1.95 for three.

These were rather crunchy given the indeterminate time that they sit under the heat lamps.

Inside each was a dollop of warm, savory cream cheese spiked with a touch of green onion. The combination of the two made for a mild but pleasant experience.

The sweet and sour sauce, on the other hand, offered a robust version of its namesake that's entirely too much for the filling of the rangoons. You don't really taste much else if you dip the wontons, although you still get a nice crunch.

Overall, Panda Express Cream Cheese Rangoons were quite nice, especially if you're looking for something light and crunchy. I'd skip on the included sweet and sour sauce to better appreciate them though.
