New and available nationwide are Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew and Starbucks Doubleshot on Ice, while Nitro Cold Brew is on tap in select major U.S. cities.
Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew takes their cold brew coffee with ice and tops it off with a layer of house-made vanilla sweet cream. Starbucks makes their cold brew coffee is made by steeping coffee grounds in water for 20 hours.
Starbucks Doubleshot on Ice features a double-shot of espresso shaken with ice, a splash of milk, and simple syrup. Something that may cause some confusion is that it carries the same name as Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso canned drink, which is a blend of espresso, milk, cream, and sugar.
Finally, the chain gets in on the trendy "nitro coffee" wave with the roll-out of new Nitro Cold Brew in select cities. Nitro coffee is cold brew coffee that's infused with nitrogen to give it a slight sweetness, creamy texture, and a frothy head. Unlike the other two drinks, it is poured chilled from a tap and is served without ice. The drink is slated to arrive later this summer starting with Seattle, Portland, New York, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
