Little Caesars' Loaded Crazy Bread Bites feature pieces of Crazy Bread topped with warm cheddar cheese sauce, shredded Muenster and mozzarella, grated parmesan, and bits of applewood-smoked bacon. A container of jalapenos come on the side.
I paid
$4 for an order.
Compared to an order of
Crazy Bread, the Loaded Crazy Bread Bites feel notably lighter. I'd guess maybe three sticks of Crazy Bread are cut up for the Bites compared to six sticks in regular order. There's lots in the toppings department though.
Interestingly, the side of jalapenos come in a pretty big cup. I'd say there are enough slices to have at least one with every Crazy Bread Bite. They offer a nice crunch, a fairly mild heat, and a contrasting acidity when eaten with the dish.
Between the cheese sauce, shredded cheese, grated cheese, and bacon, the top-most pieces can be quite salty.
Compared to your run-of-the-mill nachos or cheese-topped fries, the combination of cheeses here provide more distinctive and complex flavors than the typical mild and creamy ooze. The cheddar cheese sauce in particular was more cheese than sauce and exhibited a definite sharp note of cheddar.
The bacon added an enjoyable fatty smokiness but lacked any crunch. It was thick enough so you get a chewy greasy feel instead.
The bread was similarly missing the crispy factor and offered up a chewy, pillowy texture.
Overall, Little Caesars's Loaded Crazy Bread Bites was a mixed bag for me. I really enjoyed the varied and strong cheese flavors but disliked the uniformly soft textures. Also, I'm not sure I'd choose topped Crazy Bread over fries in the same application.
