Taco Bell Testing New $2 Value Combos

Taco Bell looks to give their since-discontinued $2 Meal Deals new life with a recent test.

First introduced in 2010, the $2 Meal Deal included a limited selection of entrees, plus a small bag of Doritos chips, and a medium drink for only $2. In the years following, the price crept up (it's currently $3.49) and the name got shorter (it's just the Meal Deal now).

The latest iteration that's being tested looks to offer even more value. It features the new Triple Melt Burrito, new Beef Nachos, and a small drink for $2.

The Triple Melt Burrito includes a choice of either bean, seasoned ground beef, or shredded chicken plus rice and melted 3-cheese blend wrapped up in a flour tortilla.

The Beef Nachos, unsurprisingly, consists of tortilla chips topped with warm nacho cheese sauce and seasoned ground beef.

There's also a breakfast version of the combo being tested, which is also $2 and includes a choice of either a Sausage Grilled Breakfast Burrito, a Sausage Flatbread Quesadilla, or a Sausage Breakfast Soft Taco. In addition to the entree, each meal also includes either a hash brown patty or mini pancakes as well as either a small drink or coffee.

The test has been spotted out in the Minneapolis area of Minnesota.
