Do keep in mind that most require you show some sort of military ID or other proof of service. The deals are only good on Friday, November 11, 2016 unless otherwise noted.
As a lot of restaurants run on a franchisee basis, I recommend you call ahead to make sure your local branch is participating. Additionally, some deals are by local franchisees rather than the local chain.
Here's the list of deals I've been able to verify (I'll update the list if more deals come in):
- Applebee's - Free meal chosen from a selection of seven menu items that includes Butcher’s Meat and Potatoes, Oriental Chicken Salad, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Chicken Tenders Platter, Double Crunch Shrimp, Three-Cheese Chicken Penne, and American Standard All-In Burger.
They'll also be giving out a $5 coupon that can be redeemed between November 12 and November 27, 2016.
Friday, November 11, 2016, is also Remembrance Day in Canada. Applebee’s restaurants in Canada will be offering free meals to all Canadian active and retired armed forces personnel on the day.
- Bar Louie - Free entree at all locations.
- Buffalo Wild Wings - All day long on Friday, November 11, 2016, Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants in the U.S. will provide a complimentary order of wings and a side of fries.
- California Pizza Kitchen - Free entree from a special Veterans Day menu at all participating California Pizza Kitchen restaurants nationwide. The menu can be viewed on their website at www.cpk.com/veteransday.
- Chicken Salad Chick - Free Original Chick (one sandwich or scoop of a choice of chicken salad, one side, a pickle spear, cookie, and a drink).
- Chipotle - Buy one, get one free entree from 3 PM until close.
- Cracker Barrel - Free slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake at all locations.
- Denny's - Free Build Your Own Grand Slam from 5 AM to noon at participating locations.
- Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Free meal which includes a sandwich, side and a Big Yellow Cup, up to a $12 total value, from 11 AM - 9 PM.
- Fazoli's - Free Build Your Own Pasta at participating locations.
- Hooters - Free menu item (with purchase of a beverage) from a selection that includes 10 Traditional Wings, 10 Boneless Wings, Hooters Burger, Buffalo Chicken Salad, and Buffalo Chicken Sandwich at participating locations.
- IHOP - Free stack of Red, White & Blue Pancakes at participating US locations between 7 AM and 7 PM. "Select IHOP restaurants will also offer a combo of two eggs, hash browns and choice of two bacon strips or pork sausage links as part of the Red, White & Blue Pancake promotion for retired and active duty military personnel."
- Krispy Kreme - "A free doughnut and small coffee will be given to anyone who identifies themselves as a veteran or active military personnel (no ID required) on Veterans Day.
Offer valid November 11, 2016 at participating US Krispy Kreme stores only and is subject to product availability."
- Krystal - Free breakfast Sausage Biscuit from opening until 11 am.
- Little Caesars - "Free $5 HOT-N-READY® Lunch Combo from 11:00a.m. to 2:00p.m, at participating stores."
- McDonald's (Greater Philadelphia area) - Free All Day Breakfast Extra Value Meal.
- McDonald's (Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Ada-Ardmore) - Free Extra Value Meal.
- McDonald's (SoCal locations) - A choice of a free medium-sized order of fries or Baked Apple Pie at participating Southern California locations from 11 AM to 11 PM.
- O' Charley's - Free meal of choice from $9.99er meals, including O’Charley’s Famous Chicken Tenders & Fries, Honey Drizzled Southern-Fried Chicken, and Homestyle Chicken Pot Pie, at participating locations. You'll also get a voucher good for 20% off your next visit.
- Olive Garden - Free entree from a special menu that includes six of the chain's most popular dishes.
- Outback Steakhouse - Free Bloomin' Onion and a non-alcoholic beverage.
- Peet's - Free small drip coffee or tea at participating locations.
- Red Lobster - Free appetizer or dessert from a special menu on Thursday, November 10 and Friday, November 11, 2016.
- Red Robin - Free Red's Tavern Double Burger with Bottomless Steak Fries at participating restaurants nationwide.
- Ruby Tuesday - Free appetizer up to a $10 value.
- Sheetz - "Free 6 inch turkey sub and a regular size fountain drink at all Sheetz locations, by presenting a military ID or proof of service. Sheetz stores that offer carwashes will also offer a free carwash to Veterans and active duty military personnel on Veterans Day."
- Sizzler - Free lunch (choice of one of three entrees) and beverage until 4 PM at participating locations.
- TGI Fridays - Free lunch menu item up to $12 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. local time.
- White Castle - Free Breakfast Combo or choice of Castle Combo Meal #1 - 6 at participating locations.
- Wienerschnitzel - A free Chili Dog, small fries and 20 oz. drink at participating Wienerschnitzel locations.
