Totino's Stuffed Nachos Supreme feature taco-seasoned chicken and beef pizza topping, red bell peppers, jalapenos, and reduced fat cheddar cheese inside of a triangular-ridged masa crust.
I got a 17.4-oz box for
$3.59.
While the name suggests that these would skew in favor of cheese, the filling is actually mostly meat. The meat texture is most similar to Totino's sausage with a soft, pliable feel but with a slightly spicy taco flavor and a hint of tomato.
The cheddar was nicely melted but there wasn't much to go around which left it as mostly background noise. Similarly, I was hard pressed to taste or feel the red bell peppers.
The crust offered a sturdy shell that, surprisingly, didn't leak any filling. The additional surface area from the ridges gave it a bit of crispiness, even out of the microwave. However, I recommend the toaster oven for a decent crunch. In flavor, it was like a slightly oily corn tortilla and similar to the shell of a frozen taquito after cooking.
Ultimately, nachos don't really come to mind when eating Totino's Stuffed Nachos Supreme but they work really well as quick, tasty, and convenient mini tacos. If you like the brand's pizza rolls, these are essentially taco rolls.
