The Best KFC Colonel of 2016 Might Have Been the One You Missed

KFC tapped several actors to portray their iconic founder, Colonel Harland Sanders, in 2016, but perhaps the best portrayal was the wrestling Colonel by WWE professional wrestler Nick Nemeth (better known as "Dolph Ziggler").

You might not have caught it though as it never aired as a traditional TV commercial.

Instead, the wrestling Colonel debuted live at WWE SummerSlam, a summer-time pay-per-view event and then occasionally as a pre-recorded spot during several WWE television show airings. You can check it out below:

You might have also missed the Sesame Street-style puppet Colonel Sanders, who taught about KFC fried chicken in a kid-friendly format on the Colonel Harland Sanders show:
