New NYC Whole Foods Offers Produce Butcher

In case you're tired of chopping fruits and/or veggies (and happen to live in New York City), the new Whole Foods in Bryant Park offers a "produce butcher" to help you out.

Like the name suggests, the produce butcher is a member of the produce department who will julienne, mince, slice, dice, or chop any produce available in the store by request.

However, unlike my local branch of Whole Foods, which will grill any meat you buy from the meat counter free of charge (and also has a smoker), the produce butcher charges for the service. According to Gothamist, it's $1 per pound for items sold by the pound (up to five pounds) and $1 per item for items sold individually.
