Starbucks' Ham and Cheese Croissant features a butter croissant filled with Prosciutto Cotto Italian-style ham and melted Swiss cheese.
I grabbed one for
$3.45.
The croissant turned out a little flat and compacted but crisped up at the surface from being warmed. The crumb was moist and sufficiently buttery.
There was a good amount of ham inside and it proffered a nice, sinewy texture and porky flavor. The cheese came thoroughly melted and added creaminess and a note of nuttiness.
Overall, Starbucks' Ham and Cheese Croissants makes for some pretty good eats. While Starbucks items can be a mixed bag as far as their premium touches go, both the ham and cheese manage to feel a step up quality-wise.
