Firework Oreos can be found on shelves nationwide and feature the classic chocolate wafers and vanilla creme filling but with the addition of red and blue bits of popping candy in the creme.
As for the contest, US fans can submit one unique submission per person per day on either Instagram or Twitter by uploading a photo, video, or just plain old words and including the hashtags #MyOreoCreation #Contest through July 14, 2017.
From the submissions, three finalists will be chosen based on the judged taste, creativity, and originality of their submissions. Of the three finalist, the winner will be chosen by fan vote. You can find the official rules (including relevant dates, prizes, and deadlines) here.
Besides the cash, the winner will also get to try unreleased Oreo flavors and see their own Oreo flavor on store shelves around this time next year.
The "My Oreo Creation Contest," is basically Oreo's version of the annual Lay's "Do Us a Flavor" contest.
