Starbucks Japan Serving Cake-Topped Frappuccinos

For a limited time, Starbucks Japan is serving two special Frappuccinos, each topped with a piece of chocolate cake.

Each of the Frappuccinos are descriptively named. There's the Chocolate Cake Top Frappuccino with Matcha Shot and the Chocolate Cake Top Frappuccino with Coffee Shot.

Each features a Creme Frappuccino blended with almonds and topped with a round of chocolate cake and whipped cream. Where they differ is the Chocolate Cake Top Frappuccino with Matcha Shot also comes with a shot of matcha green tea sauce poured on top of the cake and a sprinkle of matcha green tea powder atop the whipped cream, while the Coffee Shot version comes topped with a coffee sauce and sprinkled with dark mocha powder.

The idea is you're supposed to use the over-sized straw to break up the cake, which is softened by the sauce, into the Frappuccino before enjoying.

Both cake-topped Frappuccinos are available at participating Starbucks locations throughout Japan through July 13, 2017.
