The kits feature ready-to-cook pre-measured ingredients for a meal for two that can be conveniently picked up at the drive-thru or inside the restaurant. They can be ordered in person or via the Chick-fil-A One app.
The meal kits feature the same chicken the chain uses at each restaurant and the chicken comes pre-marinated and trimmed.
Chick-fil-A plans to rotate five different varieties during the test with two available at any given time. The options include:
- Chicken Parmesan (August 27 through September 22)
- Chicken Enchiladas (August 27 through September 22)
- Crispy Dijon Chicken (October 22 through November 17)
- Pan Roasted Chicken (September 24 through October 20)
- Chicken Flatbread (September 24 until October 20)
The price for each kit is $15.89 (for comparison, a meal for two from Blue Apron, a meal kit subscription service that delivers to your home, comes out to about $20 if you order frequently enough to qualify for free shipping).
With the test, Chick-fil-A becomes the first fast food chain to offer a full meal kit.
