McDonald's Tests "Made-to-Order" Chicken Sandwich and Tenders

While it hasn't been long since McDonald's added the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken filet and Buttermilk Crispy Tenders to the menu, it looks like they're already looking at what comes next with a test of the new, made-to-order Ultimate Chicken Sandwich and Ultimate Chicken Tenders.

According to the trayliner, the chicken comes lightly breaded and is "served hot and tender every time," which sounds a lot like the same premise as the chain's recent switch to fresh, made-to-order beef for Quarter Pounders and Signature Crafted burgers.

The name choice is interesting as it's the same name that Sonic used for a since-discontinued version of their crispy chicken sandwich.

A report from NRN states that the new chicken is being tested in Washington and comes served with honey Dijon mayo and pickles on a sweet artisan bun. It has also been spotted in some restaurants in northern California and Louisiana.
