Stouffer's Whips Up New Urban Bistro Frozen Meals

Stouffer's adds a new dimension to their frozen dinners with the introduction of a new Urban Bistro line.

The new line features ingredients like aged cheese, chorizo, and craft beer. Stouffer's Urban Bistro meals are currently being rolled out and come in the follow varieties at launch:

- Beer Glazed Meatballs - Beef meatballs simmered and reduced in Black Forty Beer Co.’s Truck Stop Honey Brown Ale. Served with cheddar mashed potatoes.

- Aged Asiago Lasagna - Hand-layered pasta with asiago, ricotta, mozzarella, and a tomato meat sauce.

- Kentucky Bourbon Glazed Chicken - Grilled white meat chicken and pecans in a bourbon sauce with roasted sweet potatoes.

- Cheddar & Goat Cheese Mac - Cavatappi pasta in a white cheddar & creamy goat cheese sauce.

- Chicken & Cheddar Grits - Grilled white meat chicken, carrots, and green beans in an herb sauce over cheesy grits and red quinoa.

- Smoked Gouda & Chorizo Mac - Cavatappi pasta in a smoked gouda cheese sauce and spicy chorizo.

- Spiced Chicken & Couscous - Grilled white meat chicken in coucous with chickpeas, sweet potatoes, raisins, and almonds in a 10-spice sauce.

- Spicy Tortellini Arrabbiata - Tri-color cheese tortellini in a spicy tomato sauce with seasoned beef and parmesan.

The meals range from 240 to 390 calories and retail for about $3.99 (may vary).
