The new sandwich features Maple Leaf Farms duck breast that is seared and then cooked sous vide. It comes served with crispy onions and a smoked cherry sauce on a toasted specialty bun.
The restaurants that will serve the new menu item were selected due to their proximity to duck hutinging areas within markets in the four "waterfowl migration flyways" across the country (Atlantic, Central, Mississippi, and Pacific).
As with the previous releases of the Elk Sandwich and Venison Sandwich before it, there will only be a limited amount of the Seared Duck Breast Sandwich available at each location and, if previous years are any indication, they'll go fast.
Here are the locations that will have the sandwich come Saturday:

It should be noted that while venison and elk meat are harder to find, duck can sometimes be found at the supermarket as well as at some restaurants (French and Chinese banquet restaurants come to mind). That being said, a duck sandwich should be a lot less chewy.
