I got my Blue Cheese & Bacon Ribeye Burger using a 2 for $5 coupon, but it normally costs $5.79 at my local Jack in the Box.
Typically, I find that blue cheese served at fast food restaurants is generally just salty and lacks the depth and bitterness that gives blue cheese its characteristic funk. I was pleasantly surprised at the bitterness whenever I encountered one of the many blue cheese crumbles on my burger. The blue cheese sauce is milder but offers a salty and savory creaminess to the burger. Combined, the sauce and crumbles firmly deliver on the blue cheese front.
What was perhaps most disappointing for me was how much the blue cheese masked the delicious flavor of the ribeye beef patty, which itself is intense and fatty. It was difficult to differentiate between the richness of the sauce/cheese and the richness of the juicy burger patty. It was certainly a delicious eating experience, but I almost feel like the ribeye beef patty was wasted on this burger; I think I would have enjoyed it just as much if it was a normal beef patty.
