Taco Bell Tests Blue Corn Taco Shell with New Midnight Melt Taco in Minneapolis

Taco Bell tests a new, cheesier take on the taco featuring a freshly-fried blue corn tortilla shell lined along the bottom with a layer of melted 3-cheese blend. They're calling it the "Midnight Melt Taco" and available in the Minneapolis area through late December 2018.

In addition to the melted cheeses, the taco comes filled with a familiar combination of seasoned beef, shredded cheese, reduced fat sour cream, lettuce, and tomato.

During the test you can get the Midnight Melt Taco by itself for $1.99 or as part of a $5 Box combo that also includes a Beefy 5 Layer Burrito, crunchy taco, Cinnamon Twists, and a medium fountain drink.
