Wendy's Frosty Cookie Sundae features a chocolate or vanilla Frosty topped with Chocolate Chunk Cookie pieces and Ghirardelli Chocolate Sauce.
I went with the vanilla version and it cost me
$1.99.
The Frosty sits somewhere between a shake and soft serve in terms of thickness. It's thick enough to eat with a spoon but gets a little soupy in short order, which isn't ideal for a sundae.
The cookie pieces were soft and almost brownie-like with a pleasant and substantial milk chocolate flavor to them, which made the chocolate sauce a bit redundant. The chocolate sauce was fairly thick and richer than your run-of-the-mill chocolate syrup but as I mentioned is a bit wasted here.
What it comes down to is this: I'd rather have a vanilla Frosty and a Chocolate Chunk Cookie that I can dip in it rather than a Frosty Cookie Sundae. Putting them together in a cup, while still enjoyable, makes the Frosty melt faster and the cookie soggy.
