The freebie comes courtesy of the chain's NBA Steal a Game, Steal a Taco promotion, which promised free Doritos Locos Tacos if any team "stole" (won a road game) a game during this year's NBA Finals. The Golden State Warriors won an away game in against the Toronto Raptors tonight which means free tacos.
Taco Bell has run this promotion several times in the past and it's generally not a question of if they'll be giving away a free taco but rather when as it's highly unlikely for a team to win the NBA Finals without a single road win.
The free taco offer is also available the whole day on June 18th if you place an order for the free taco through the Taco Bell app or website.
