Complementing the launch of the new Cheetos Sandwich, Mtn Dew Sweet Lightning is exclusive to KFC and is described as "a punch of peach and a touch of honey flavors." The drink was specifically developed to go well with Original Recipe fried chicken and gains a permanent spot at the KFC soda fountain.
Mtn Dew Sweet Lightning is the first exclusive drink served at KFC and marks the second time that Mtn Dew has partnered with a fast food chain to put out an exclusive flavor (the first being Taco Bell with Baja Blast).
